At the Friends of Little Malvern Priory AGM on 25 June 2023 the Vicar of LMP, The Reverend Stephen Sealy, updated members on the proposal to create a multi-purpose room in the North Transept of LMP. An open consultation meeting had been held on 28 January 2023, attended by a significant number of Friends. A clear majority had indicated their support for taking this to the next stage. The PCC had commissioned an initial feasibility study, generously funded by the Hawthorne Trust. Concept drawings had been produced and work was now underway to develop more detailed plans. Progressing the proposal, however, had been complicated – and now delayed – by issues arising from the sale of the adjoining Little Malvern Court, which had to be given priority.
